Medical doctor, graduated from the Federal University of Uberlândia (Universidade Federal de Uberlândia), specialist in anesthesiology at the same institution, holder of a post-graduate degree in Nutriendocrinology from the São Paulo College of Health (Faculdade de Saúde de São Paulo), post-graduate degree in Nutrology from ABRAN (Associação Brasileira de Nutrologia), post-graduate degree in Oncology from the Albert Einstein Hospital. Dr. Clarissa is the director and owner of the Health Concept Clinic (Clínica Conceito Saúde) and the Human Development Concept (Conceito Desenvolvimento Humano); founder and director of the CADO Research Institute (Instituto CADO de Pesquisa). Besides that, Dr. Clarissa is coordinator and teacher in the post-graduate Program in Integrative Medicine of the Univesity of Uberaba (Universidade de Uberaba, or UNIUBE). She is an active member of associations and societies in the medical area, such as the Brazilian Medical Association of Bi-Digital O-ring Test (Associação Médica Brasileira de Bi-Digital O-ring Test, or AMBBORT), member of the Society for Integrative Oncology (SIO/USA), fellow in Clinical Nutrition at BARM. Dr. Clarissa Oliveira, always dynamic and enterprising, after 10 years in the practice of integrative medicine in her own clinic, emphasizing the welfare and treatment of the human being in an integral and personalized manner, founded the CADO Institute. That institute has as its primary objective the development of scientific research in the area of integrative medicine in partnership with renowned national and international researchers, besides the promotion of free assistance to needy patients through incentives and donations from the third sector. She has thus far been responsible for conducting more than 15 unpublished clinical studies that evaluate the control of chronic diseases in the field of cancerology, obesity, atherosclerosis, brain optimization, improvement of tissue perfusion and microcirculation, and that evaluate the role of oxidative stress in these processes. In this way, Dr. Clarissa Oliveira, through her vast clinical experience, in combination with her work in scientific research, has been contributing to the generation of knowledge and the consolidation of integrative medicine practices.

Eugenio Luigi Iorio, MD, PhD (Biochemical Sciences), (post)-graduated in Clinical Chemistry and Biochemistry (Specialist), is President of the Popular University of Lifestyle Medicine (Ascea, Salerno, Italy) and the International Observatory of Oxidative Stress, IOOS (Italy, Greece, Argentina, Brazil, Japan), teacher and member of international board of Sannio Tech Inter-University Consortium (Apollosa, Benevento, Italy), specialist for Redoxomics at Bios Laboratories SPA (Rome, Italy), director of Tokyo Redox Center (Tokyo, Japan) and Editor in Chief of the European Journal of Aesthetic Medicine and Dermatology (EJAMED). Moreover, he is teacher at the following masters: First Level University Master on “Polyspecialistic Regenerative Medicine and Surgery” (Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Rome, Italy), Systemic Functional Medicine (Rome, Italy), and Human Nutrition (Bari, Italy). Currently he is also teacher at the University Specialisation Course “Diets and ketogenic nutritional therapies: supplements an nutraceuticals” (University of Salerno, Italy) and coordinates the University Master in Aesthetic, Regenerative and Antiaging Medicine (University of Verona, Italy). Eugenio Luigi Iorio is an eclectic medical doctor with many different field of interest. His research (Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics, Naples University) was firstly focused on the biosynthesis of the platelet-activating factor, an unusual pro-inflammatory phospholipid, in neutrophils [Journal of Immunology. 1992. 149 (3): 1023–1030]. Then he approached the field of oxidative stress that leads him: i) to develop into the clinical practice and to spread in 35 Countries some suitable predictive tests (among which are the d-ROMs and the BAP test) to measure the redox balance “at a glance”, starting form a few drops of whole blood [Italian Treatise of Laboratory Medicine, by Angelo Burlina, Piccin, Padua. 2009. IX: 533–549]; ii) to conceptualize first time a new omics, i.e., the Redoxomics [Gen-T. 2008. 2: 67]; iii) to do studies on the redoxoma of vegetables and animals [Vet Res Commun. 2008. 32 (2): 137–143]; iv) to develop the first software to handle oxidative stress in the clinical practice (WIN-OS MANAGER). More recently he integrated his research with the lipidomics (i. e., the identification and the quantification of fatty acids on biological samples, including whole blood). Pioneer of Positive Biology (in terms of positive beauty, positive fertility, positive sexuality, and more) and Mediterrasian Diet, he developed an original Artificial Intelligence algorithm for optimal health performance (Happy Salus, Rome, Italy). Recipient of many awards, he cooperated with professor Luc Montagnier, i.e., the Medicine Nobel Prize 2008 for the discovery of the HIV, in order to standardise the analytical methods for oxidative stress measurement (UNESCO, Paris, France). Author of about 100 academic papers, speaker in more than 500 scientific congresses in the last 15 years in 30 different Countries (particularly in Japan, and from 2016, in Brazil), is co-inventor of a patent for phospholipid analysis (N°94045A39, National Council of Research, Italy). Among the curiosities, Eugenio Luigi Iorio, for educational purposes, published the first comic book on free radicals and antioxidants for children, and, as expertise in traditional typical hand-made foods, in cooperation with the Italian pizzaiolo Cosimo Mogavero,  he produced the first patented True Neapolitan Pizza, according to the UNI 10791:98 norm, and the first integral antioxidant pizza (the “anti-wrinkle pizza”); finally, he coordinated a TV documentary on Okinawa’s centenarians.

Dr. Ioannis Papasotiriou, graduated from Medical school of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 1997. He went on to undertake postgraduate training in molecular medicine (MSc) at the University of Westminster of London (Distinction pass), then MSc in molecular oncology at Nottingham University and a doctorate as Medical Geneticist in the University of Zurich. He worked as scientific fellow in the department of Human Physiology and Medical Biochemistry in Medical school of Thessaloniki. He completed his promotion (M.D., PhD) in MLU University in the area of TKIs in human cancer cells lines. Between 2001 and 2004 he established Arzt Genetik Zentrum in Thessaloniki where he was a director. Since May 2004 he is a CEO and medical director of RGCC SA- Research Genetic Cancer Centre SA (www.rgcc-genlab.com) in Greece where the major field of expertise is molecular oncology in the entity of Cancer stem cell like. His main interest is cancer genetics with a major focus on chemosensitivity testing and developing screening tests. His research activities lie in the field of cancer drug design and evaluation and in the development of innovative methods of cancer gene or molecular targeted therapies.

Giovanni Scapagnini, MD, PhD, is Full Professor of Clinical Nutrition at the University of Molise, Campobasso, Italy. From 2004 is visiting professor, at the Institute of Human Virology, University of Maryland, Baltimore (US) (research project: “HIV Dementia: novel pharmacological targets”). He spent a large part of his career of researcher/teacher outside of Italy, e.g., in the United Kindom (Department of Surgical Research Northwick Park Institute for Medical Research Harrow, Middlesex, 1999), and US (Laboratory of Adaptive Systems, National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, National Institutes of the Health, Bethesda MD, 2000; Blanchette Rockefeller Neurosciences Institute, West Virginia University at Johns Hopkins University, Rockville, MD, 2000-2003; New York Medical College, Walalla NY, Department of Pharmacology, 2003-2006; Human Virology, University of Maryland, Baltimore, MD; director prof. Robert Gallo, Nobel Prize 2008, 2004-2005). In particular he had numerous and long-term collaborations with the Okinawa International University, Japan, and especially with prof. Craig D. Willcox, Department of Human Welfare, in charge of the Okinawa Centenarians Study, with several joint publications about the nutritional aspects of Okinawan centenarians. He had consolidated and productive collaboration, in terms of scientific publications in the field of nutritional neuroscience, with prof Michael Maes, Department of Psychiatry, Faculty of Medicine, della Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand, with prof Allan Butterfield, Department of Chemistry, Center of Membrane Sciences, and Sanders-Brown Center on Aging, University of Kentucky, Lexington, Kentucky, and with prof Immaculata De Vivo Harvard -T.H. Chan School of Public Health - Department of Epidemiology - Genomic Epidemiology Research Laboratory - Boston, MA, USA. He cooperated He is (from 2014) current Member of directors, and representative for Italy, of the International Network of the Centers on Genetics Nutrition and Fitness for Health (Washington DC, USA), President Artemis Simoupulos, and directed by prof Jing Kang, Laboratory for Lipid Medicine and Technology Harvard Medical School Massachusetts General Hospital, with whom has a stable collaboration in the field of Nutrition and Public Health. Currently, he is also member of the American Society for Neuroscience (from 2000), Vice-President, Founder and Member of Board of Directors of the Italian Society of Nutraceuticals SINUT (from 2009), member of the editorial board of “Biogerontology” (Springer) (from 2008) and “Aging Research Reviews” (Elsevier) (from 2017). His main scientific production consists of 126 publications (109 on peer reviewed international journals) and, 17 chapters on international and national scientific books. On Google Scholar he achieved 8153 total citations, with a 48 h-index (database access 6/6/2019). Giovanni Scapagnini is co-inventor of 16 international and national patents. His main research fields include: redoxomics, lipidomics, metabolomics, neuro-inflammation, nutraceuticals (polyphenols, astaxhantin), biogerontology, neurogeroprotection, neurodegenerative disorders, Mediterranean diet, and Okinawa Diet. He firstly showed that curcumin activates defensive genes and protects neurons against oxidative stress [Antioxid Redox Signal. 2006. 8 (3–4): 395–403]. Pioneer of “Positive Biology”, “Positive Nutrition” and successful aging [Immun Ageing. 2012. 9 (1): 5], recently demonstrated that non-elite runners lose omega-3 as a function of the traveled distance [Front Physiol. 2019. 10: 487] while healthy peoples can improve omega-6/omega-3 ratio by taking cocoa flavanols. His last challenge is the research on the biological effects of light on skin inflammatory diseases [J Clin Aesthet Dermatol. 2019. 12 (5): E61–E68]. Giovanni Scapagnini is often invited by Italian public TV channels as expert in educational programs. Currently is the president of the scientific committee of Fiere di Roma, for EXPO Salus and Nutrition, one of the biggest exposition/conference on health and nutrition in Italy.

Bradley J. Willcox, MD, MSc, FACP (Internal Medicine and Geriatrics), is Professor and Director of Research at the Department of Geriatric Medicine, John A. Burns School of Medicine, University of Hawaii, at the Kuakini Medical Center (KMC) Campus. He also is Principal Investigator of the NIH-funded KMC Hawaii Lifespan Study and KMC Hawaii Healthspan Study, and co-Principal Investigator of the Okinawa Centenarian Study. Dr. Bradley J. Willcox trained in Medicine at the University of Toronto, Internal Medicine at the Mayo Clinic, and Geriatric Medicine at Harvard Medical School and is Board-certified in both Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine. Dr. Bradley J. Willcox has published widely in the genetic, environmental and clinical aspects of healthy aging. He is a frequent reviewer for major medical journals and is on the Editorial Board of the Journals of Gerontology, the leading gerontological journal. Dr. Willcox is also on the Board of Scientific Counselors (BSC) for the U.S. National Institute on Aging (NIA), which reviews all intramural NIA research programs. Dr. Bradley J. Willcox  is on the scientific advisory board of several leading aging institutes and health care companies around the world that perform cutting edge research and create novel interventions and products to optimize length and quality of life. He has been recognized with a Dorothy Dillon Eweson Award for Advances in Aging Research, the Henry Christian Award from the American Federation for Medical Research, and a Director’s Citation from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, among other honors. He is a fellow of the Gerontological Society of America and a four-time nominee for Outstanding Physician of the Year at The Queen’s Medical Center. Bradley J. Willcox, as an internationally recognized expert in healthy aging with training in geriatrics and gerontology, is also a co-author of a NY Times best-selling book on healthy aging and his work has appeared in cover articles of Time Magazine, National Geographic, and on Oprah, Good Morning America, NOVA Science, BBC, among other media. 

Dr. Bradley Willcox

D. Craig Willcox PhD, MHSc, FGSA,has been studying genetic and lifestyle factors associated with healthy aging and longevity for over two decades and has successfully established numerous cross-national research collaborations through the U.S. National Institutes of Health and National Institute on Aging and projects supported by national funding agencies in Japan, such as the Japan Society for Promotion of Sciences, among other sources. He currently serves as Co-Principal Investigator of the Okinawa Centenarian Study and Head of the Okinawa Research Center for Longevity Science R&D, as well as a co-investigator or consultant for several ancillary R-01 funded studies of aging from the Kuakini Honolulu Heart Program. These include the Kuakini Hawaii LIFESPAN and HEALTHSPAN Studies. Dr. Willcox is also Chair of the Department of Human Welfare at Okinawa International University and Adjunct Professor in the Department of Geriatric Medicine at University of Hawaii.  He is a fluent speaker of Japanese and has extensive research experience in bio-cultural approaches to healthy aging including, anthropological, epidemiological, and nutritional, with further experience in human population genetics and the study of gene-environment interactions. The team that Dr. Willcox leads in Okinawa has over 40 years of experience in geriatrics and gerontology research and his collaborating team in Hawaii recently celebrated a half century since the inception of the Honolulu Heart Program and has been a leader in establishing the field of genetic epidemiology. His team in Okinawa reported the first longevity-associated gene variants in humans [Lancet. 1987. 2 (8563): 824–826]and his collaborators in Hawaii discovered that the human homolog (FOXO3) of the nematode daf-16 gene also strongly impacts human longevity [PNAS. 2008. 105 (37): 13987–13992]. He has also been an invited participant at numerous international meetings that have focused upon identifying priorities in aging research such as the FUTURAGE workshop (Roadmap for Aging Research in the EU), and contributes as Associate Editor to numerous journals devoted to research on aging, such as Journals of Gerontology: Biological and Medical Sciences, Gerontology, BMC Geriatrics, Rejuvenation Research, Journal of Cross Cultural Gerontology, Nutrition and Aging, and the recently established Nature partner journal npj Mechanisms of Aging and Disease, among others. Recently, he guest edited a special issue on centenarian studies and their contribution to our understanding of the aging process and longevity that was published in Current Gerontology and Geriatrics Research.  He has several nominations for Who's Who in Healthcare and Medicine in the past few years and co-authored two best-selling books (The Okinawa Program and The Okinawa Diet Plan) on healthy aging that translate his research findings into practical public health programs. The Okinawa Program was nominated for “Best Wellness Book of the Year” by “Books for a Better Life” and received further honors from both Amazon.com and Barnes and Nobles as one of their Top Fifty Books of the Year for 2001. He also consults regularly for industry, having recently consulted for Chanel, VHI Healthcare (largest private health provider in Ireland), and well-known leaders in product development that promote healthy aging. His work has appeared in National Geographic, Newsweek, Time Magazine, and on Oprah, CNN, MSNBC, Good Morning America, NOVA Science, BBC, among other media.

Dr. Craig Willcox

María Laura Nasi is a medical doctor, international speaker and writer. Graduated from the Universidad de Buenos Aires. She specialized in Internal Medicine at Temple University Hospital, Philadelphia and in Clinical Oncology at the Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. She was the Clinical Research Coordinator for the International Breast Cancer Study Group in Bern (Switzerland) and subsequently was the Research Director for Swiss pharmaceutical company Debiopharm. She made a turnaround in her career broadening her vision towards a more humanized medicine. She specialized in Mind Body Medicine at the Institute for Mind Body Medicine at Harvard University, Boston and in psycho-socio-spiritual interventions for cancer patients at the Simonton Cancer Center in California, US . She was Founder and President of ASOI (Asociación de Oncología Integrativa), a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of an integrative vision for cancer patients, their families and the healthcare team and is currently President of the Integrative Oncology Commission of the AAOC (Argentinian Clinical Oncology Society) . She is member of Terapia Integrativa, a Spanish Network of Integrative Medicine and member of the Scientific Committee of FeelsGood, a non-profit organization dedicated to developing VR technology for cancer patients. Currently she practices Integrative Oncology in a private office employing, in addition to clinical oncology knowledge, Mind-Body Medicine techniques. She gives postgraduate courses on psycho-endo-neuro-immunology at several Universities in Argentina and Uruguay as well as in International Conferences. She is author of El cáncer como camino de Sanación, (2017) and Cáncer y PsicoNeuroinmunología (2017) and Cancer As A Wake-UpCall, NAB 2018. Her vision of a medicine for a person as a multidimensional being leads her to investigate subjects such as life and death, science and spirit, and conscious life.

Minoru Yamakado, MD, is Dean and Professor, Department of Nursing, Ashikaga University and Special Adviser, Health Care Center, Mitsui Memorial Hospital, in Japan. His specialty is preventive medicine and hypertension. He is fellow of J. Society of Internal Medicine, Councillor of J. Society of Anti-Aging Society, Honourable Councillor of J. Society of Nephrology, J. Society of Endocrinology, J. Society of Atherosclerosis, J. Society of Obesity, and Member of Internal Society of Nephrology and American Society of Hypertension. He was also a board member of the “Ningen Dock”, a system for medical checkup; in such context, he published the reference intervals derived from records of 1,499,288 individuals who underwent “Ningen Dock” examination in 188 institutes [Rinsho Byori. 2016. 64 (3): 270–277]. As a pioneer of oxidative stress research in Japan, he demonstrated the relationships between superoxide dismutase and metabolic syndrome [Diabetes Res Clin Pract. 2009. 86 (3): 213–218] and performed the largest epidemiological study on d-ROMS test and BAP test in the Japanese population (8,025 individuals, 5,072 men, and 2,953 women) demonstrating a correlation between the results of such tests and those of uric acid [Nephron Clin Pract. 2014. 128 (1–2): 49–56]. More recently he developed a particular plasma free amino acids (PFAA) index, potentially useful in preventive medicine and oncology [Pancreatology. 2019. 19 (5): 695–698]. Actually, he is going to publish the results of the Ashikaga Longevity Study, for the Extension of the Healthy Life Expectancy of the Ashikaga Citizen, in Japan. 

Dr. Minoru Yamakado

Giovanni Canora, after a period of training on Natural Diet (IMI – International Macrobiotic Institute Kiental, Berna, Switzerland), obtained the degree of Dietitian at the University Federico II (Neaples, Italy), was post-graduated in Clinical Phytotherapy at the University Tuscia (Viterbo, Italy) and covered the role of Dietitian consultant in the prescription of dietetic plans for kindergartens and middle school children (Cava de’ Tirreni, Salerno, Italy). Giovanni Canora is a unique Dietician which interests range from philosophy to theology, from nutrition to nutraceutics, from homeopathy to pharmacology, with a solid background on phytotherapy and gem-therapy. Particularly intense is his activity in the promotion of the “Schola Medica Salernitana” (Italian: Scuola Medica Salernitana) (and their famous Gardens of Minerva), the oldest Medical School of Europe, located in Salerno, on the Tyrrhenian Sea in the Southern Italy. Such school founded in the 9th century and raised to prominence in the 10th century, becoming the most important source of medical knowledge in Western Europe at the time. It is well known that Arabic medical treatises, both those that were translations of Greek texts and those that were originally written in Arabic, had accumulated in the library of Montecassino (Latium, Italy), where they were translated into Latin; thus, the received lore of Hippocrates, Galen,  and  Dioscorides was invigorated by Arabic medical practice, known from contacts with Sicily and North Africa. As a result, the medical practitioners of Salerno, both men and women, based on such knowledge, showed unrivalled in the medieval Western Mediterranean for practical concerns. Currently Giovanni Canora is the President of the Study Center “Schola Medica Salernitana” (from 1991), coordinator of the event “X Botanicum – Nutrition and Phytotherapy“ (from 2015), teacher in different courses (training in Bach Flowertherapy– psichoemotional body balance, from 2013; Dietology and Applied Dietetics at AICTO – Associazione Internazionale di Clinica e Terapia litica – Popular University - Anguillara, Rome, Italy, from 2013; Dietology and Applied Dietetics, Phytoterapy, and Kinesiology at the Scuola Italiana di Scienze Naturopatiche of different Italian cities, including Salerno, Lecce, Cagliari, Bari, and Palermo, from 2011; Kinesiology, Dietology, Phytoterapy at the Popular University “Giordano Bruno” Institute in Rome, Italy, from 2017), and Editor in Chief of the Magazine "Pangea saggezza ieri scienza oggi’ (from 1997). Andrea Sbarbati gained experience in ultrastructural investigation techniques, in X-ray microanalysis and in the electronic energy loss spectroscopic imaging. Nasceu em Ituiutaba (MG), aos 23 de julho de 1942. Graduou-se em medicina em 11 de dezembro de 1968, na Faculdade de Ciências Médicas da Universidade da Guanabara (UEG) – atualmente Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (Uerj). Fez residência e curso de pós-graduação em cirurgia plástica na 38ª Enfermaria da Santa Casa da Misericórdia do Rio de Janeiro e na Clínica Ivo Pitanguy em 1970, 1971 e 1972. Em julho de 1967, enquanto cursava o 5º ano, participou do Projeto Rondon nas Operações I e II (fevereiro de 1968 e julho de 1968). Em seguida, voluntariamente, se o apresentou à reitoria da antiga UEG e ao Ministério do Interior para atuar como 1 diretor do campus avançado da UEG em Paritins, de setembro de 1969 a março de 1970. Já no 1º ano do curso de especialização, em1970, ingressou na Sociedade Brasileira de Cirurgia Plástica como membro aspirante, com participação nos congressos anuais, bem como outros eventos de temas da especialidade. Durante o Congresso da Sociedade Brasileira de Cirurgia Plástica – SBCP em 1971, realizado em Salvador, na Bahia, fez sua primeira apresentação de um tema livre sobre “Reconstrução de Orelha Pós-Mordida Humana”, que foi o ponto de partida para sua dedicação ao tema “reconstrução de orelha” ao longo de sua vida profissional. Nos anos seguintes continuou participando de congressos sempre com apresentação de temas científicos. Em fevereiro de 1972 houve o primeiro congresso da International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS) no Rio de Janeiro, quando apresentou o tema livre sobre “Hipomentonismo” e ingressou como active member. Após concluir o curso de especialização em cirurgia plástica, fez extenso e profícuo ciclo de estágios em diversos centros de cirurgia plástica de outros países (de dezembro de 1972 a julho de 1973) com os destacados especialistas: professor Ralf Millard (Universidade de Miami); professores Thomas Rees e John Converse (Universidade de New York); professora Irene Fleming (Universidade Berlin – Klinikum Steglita Der Freien Universität); professor Paul Tessier (Hospital Foch – Paris); professor Raoul Tubiana (Instituto Ambroise Paré – Paris); professores Claud Dufoumantel e Roger Mouly (Hospital Saint Louis – Paris); e professor John Mustardé (Universidade de Glasgow – Canniesburn Hospital – Escócia). Na oportunidade participou do III Congresso Europeu de Cirurgia Plástica em Madrid (maio de 1973) e do II Congresso da International Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ISAPS) (junho de 1973) em Jerusalém – Israel. 

De regresso ao Brasil estabeleceu-se na cidade de São Paulo, iniciando suas atividades profissionais como cirurgião plástico onde criou Instituto Científico Brasileiro de Cirurgia Plástica e Reparadora e, mais tarde, o Instituto da Orelha “Professor Juarez Avelar”, este, para promover o atendimento de pacientes portadores de deformidades auriculares. Desenvolveu intenso trabalho no campo científico com publicações em revistas nacionais e internacionais versando sobre diversos campos da especialidade. 

Em 1980 iniciou atividades na organização de eventos, que o impulsionou a conquistar a presidência da Sociedade Brasileira de Cirurgia Plástica (SBCP) – Regional São Paulo na gestão de 1982-1983, e, em seguida, como secretário-geral da SBCP na gestão 1984-1985. Em etapa seguinte assumiu a presidência nacional da Sociedade Brasileira de Cirurgia Plástica por duas gestões 1986-1987 e 1990-1991. 

Além das atividades em diretorias da Sociedade Brasileira de Cirurgia Plástica, desenvolveu amplo trabalho na Associação Paulista de Medicina como diretor de Defesa Profissional (gestão 1990-1991) e, em seguida, como secretário da Associação Médica Brasileira (gestões 1992-1993; 1994-1995 e 1996-1997). 

Em 2002 foi eleito presidente da Associação dos Ex-Alunos do Professor Pitanguy (AExPI), gestão 2003-2004, e reeleito para o biênio 2005-2006. 

Membro fundador da Associação do Professor Illouz (2005), que é entidade internacional em homenagem ao professor Yves Gerard Illouz, criador e divulgador da técnica de lipoaspiração no mundo; eleito presidente em 2005 e reeleito em 2009 como presidente para o triênio 2010-2012. 

Organizador, presidente e/ou coordenador de 67 simpósios, congressos e jornadas de cirurgia plástica e outros temas de medicina e direito. 

Publicou mais de 80 artigos científicos em revistas e capítulos em livros nacionais e internacionais. Proferiu mais de 800 conferências em eventos de medicina e direito no Brasil e em outros países.

Dra Emiliana P. Abrão 

Dr. Emiliana graduated in Biochemical Pharmacy from São Paulo State University – Júlio de Mesquita Filho (Universidade Estadual Paulista – Júlio de Mesquita Filho, or UNESP) in 2001 and completed her master’s degree in Biotechnology at the same university in 2003, where she developed a project entitled: “Development of Molecular Techniques for Hepatitis C Virus Detection and Genotyping”. She finished her doctoral degree in Basic and Applied Imunology with an emphasis on Pathogenic Bioagents at the Ribeirão Preto Medical College (Faculdade de Medicina de Ribeirão Preto, or FMRP), São Paulo University (Universidade de São Paulo, or USP) (2008) evaluating, through different molecular approaches, the interference between the Flaviviruses Dengue and both vaccine-strain and wild-type Yellow Fever, in different cell types. She served as intern from June to August of 2008 at the Yale School of Medicine, Yale University, New Haven, Connecticut, USA, through the  International Training Center for Global Infectious Disease Research program, in the laboratory of Professor Elisabetta Ullu, PhD, who made crucial contributions in the field of the biology of RNA interference and parasitology. She did postdoctoral work at the University of Paris, Faculty of Medicine Pierre et Marie Curie - Sorbonne Universities (Université de Paris, Faculté de Médecine Pierre et Marie Curie - Sorbonne Universités) (2009-2011) in Paris, France, in the Laboratory of Molecular Virology, with Dr. Henri Agut, at The Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital (L’Hôpital la Pitié Salpêtrière) where she developed a project investigating the genetics of microorganisms in patients co-infected with HIV-1/ HSV-2. She has broad experience in the areas of Microbiology, Molecular Biology, and Immunology with an emphasis on Virology. She also did postdoctoral work in Drug Discovery at the University of Nottingham (England), from 2015 to 2017, developing a project entitled: “Discovery of Novel GPCR-Binding Drugs for the Treament of Inflammatory Diseases”. She did further postdoctoral work at the Center for Research in Inflammatory Diseases (CRID), Pharmacology Department of FMRP/ USP, working on a project entitled: “Identification of the Modulation of G-Protein Coupled Receptors (GPCRs) After Flavivirus Infections in Macrophages and Endothelial Cells; and Characterization of the Signaling Pathways Involved”. Dr. Emiliana has various publications in international, peer-reviewed scientific journals indexed in PubMed. She is also co-author of a chapter in the book “Infectious Diseases: Clinical Bases and Treatment”. Dr Foued Salmen Espindola

Full Professor of Biochemistry at the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU). The academic background comprises the bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences (1978) and Pharmacy / Biochemistry (1980), with master's degree in Biochemistry and Immunology (1983), all from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG). He obtained his PhD in Sciences (Biochemistry) from the University of São Paulo (USP). He held a postdoctoral degree in Biochemistry and Cell Biology at Yale University (1994-1997 and 1999), when he was awarded The Pew Charitable Trusts as Pew Latin American Fellows in Biomedical Sciences. Areas of research are biochemistry and molecular biology, biotechnology in natural products and cell biology, with emphasis on salivary biomarkers, microRNAs, exercise, stress, health and diabetes. It also develops research, innovation and extension activities with medicinal plants and natural products from the Cerrado biome biodiversity, to study therapeutic targets in experimental models of diabetes and induced stress. He served as Director of Innovation at the Federal University of Uberlândia (2012-2016) and as a member of the Technical Chamber in Biological Sciences and Biotechnology of the Minas Gerais State Research Support Foundation (2013-2016).
